- Access keys are optional only for public buckets; in practice customers supply them. IAM role assumption (role_arn) is an alternative to access keys. Stream definitions (file globs, format parsing) and start_date are sync configuration set at provisioning. Deprecated provider/format/path_pattern fields ignored.

| AWS access key ID (optional) | Required for private buckets; not needed for publicly available data. |
| AWS secret access key (optional) | Required for private buckets; not needed for publicly available data. |
| AWS region (optional) | AWS region of the bucket. If not provided, the region is determined automatically. |
| Endpoint (optional) | Endpoint of an S3-compatible service. Leave empty to use AWS. |
