Before you start: Create a custom app in Shopify admin (Settings / Apps / Develop apps), grant it the read Admin API scopes (orders, products, customers, inventory and the rest in the setup guide), install it, and copy the API access token.
Notes: Spec also offers OAuth 2.0 (client_id, client_secret, access_token) via has_advanced_auth; API password of a custom app chosen as the pasteable option per the both-options rule. Required scopes (from the connector setup docs): read_analytics, read_assigned_fulfillment_orders, read_content, read_customers, read_discounts, read_draft_orders, read_fulfillments, read_gift_cards, read_inventory, read_locations, read_locales, read_marketing_events, read_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders, read_online_store_pages, read_order_edits, read_orders, read_price_rules, read_product_listings, read_products, read_publications, read_reports, read_shipping, read_shopify_payments_accounts, read_shopify_payments_disputes, read_shopify_payments_payouts, read_themes, read_third_party_fulfillment_orders, read_translations.

Field	Where it comes from
Shopify store	The name of your Shopify store from the URL: for https://NAME.myshopify.com the name is NAME. The full myshopify URL is also accepted.
API password	The API password of your private (custom) app in the Shopify store.
