Notes: Odoo External API (XML-RPC/JSON-RPC) authenticates with url, db, username and password; docs state an API key simply replaces the password. XML-RPC/JSON-RPC are slated for removal in Odoo 20 (fall 2026), replaced by the JSON-2 API which uses a bearer API key — same pasteable model.

Field	Where it comes from
Server URL	Address of the Odoo server instance.
Database name	For example mycompany
Username	Login of the Odoo user the integration acts as.
API key	An Odoo API key, generated in the user's Account Security preferences; it is used in place of the password.
