- M2M authentication uses the OAuth 2.0 client credentials grant. The token request needs client_id, client_secret, redirect_uri (all integration-specific, held by us after registering an API client with Procountor) plus the customer's api_key. Only the api_key is customer-supplied. An interactive authorization code flow also exists, but the client-credentials + API key path is the vendor-recommended machine-to-machine option.
